Introduction:

To any administration, faculty, and key decision-makers,

People and process—two pillars that matter above all else. These are the cornerstones of any program that aspires to, as John Wooden defines the pinnacle of his Pyramid of Success, "be at your best when your best is required." Achieving that level demands complete alignment between players, staff, the head coach, and the administration. Experience learning from and growing alongside the best minds in basketball at all levels is irreplaceable.

A relentless focus on a proven process requires trust—trust built through genuine relationships. True leadership demands the willingness to hold beliefs with an open hand, allowing them to be challenged, refined, and strengthened. For a program to succeed at the highest level, everyone within it must embrace that mindset.

By dedicating my life to these principles, I have been blessed with a coaching journey that has consistently exceeded expectations. Many measure success by status—whether as a former player or through lifetime achievements—but as retired four-star General and USA Basketball Chairman Martin Dempsey once said to me, "The best leaders never stop learning." By embodying that philosophy—leading while continuously learning—my goal is to uphold a tradition of excellence.

That tradition, however, must not be dictated by outside pressures—whether NIL, self-promotion, or even program championships. More valuable than any trophy is the long-term success of the student-athletes entrusted to our care.

Thank you for your time and consideration.
